Default At Least 15 Die In German School Shooting

    http://www.wpxi.com/news/18904854/de...480103112009#-

WINNENDEN, Germany -- State officials said police fatally shot a 17-year-old gunman who killed 15 people in a school shooting in southwestern Germany.

Police said others were injured in the gunfire before the suspect, who graduated from the school last year, fled toward the center of Winnenden, a town of 28,000 near Stuttgart.

Police warned area residents not to pick anyone up in their cars.

Witnesses said students jumped from the windows of the school building after the gunman opened fire. Parents quickly swarmed around the school, which was evacuated.

Police said the suspect, dressed in black, entered the school in the morning and began shooting at random.

Baden Wuerttemburg Gov. Guenther Oettinger said police shot the suspect after he fled the school.

State Interior Minister Heribert Rech said three teachers were among the 15 dead. Police said at least 10 students were also killed in the attack.

About 1,000 children attend the school.
Anyone know what Germany's 'gun control' is like? Are their schools gun free zones?

The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

"The gunman, a disgruntled student, used a handgun and a pump-action gun in Friday's incident. (Full story)

A national debate is now expected on how the law can be stiffened still further. "

I want to ask these law makers "if you could wave a magic wand and have any gun law, which gun law would have prevented this kid from going into a school and killing 15 people?"
It just drives me mad, mad I tell you! If I could wave a magic wand, I would have teachers and other school staff armed. If an armed teacher in this German case could have saved just one life by stopping the threat, it would have been worth it.
If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words.

Sounds to me like Germany has very strict gun laws, so enacting more is going to do NOTHING. What a bunch of idiots...

I think they do it to make the people think the town/country will be a 'safer' place to live.

All they have to do is look over in America at D.C.

Crime went up with the gun ban in place, not down...

Quote from yahoo talking about another gun rampage:
Steinhaeuser, who had been expelled for forging a doctor's note, was a gun club member licensed to own weapons. The attack led Germany to raise the age for owning recreational firearms from 18 to 21.
As you can see, it helped a ton!!

Wait..I thought school shootings only happened in America because our lack of "common sense" gun laws....

My joes are better than CNN, they knew all about this like an hour after it happened.
