Default What light source is in your B.O.B.?

I currently have a flashlight. But realize that there are times that you may want light for long periods of time. It is then, that light sticks would be handy. But you can't always count on them. They can be activated without you realizing it, and then you don't have a light.

I also keep two small candles in my bag. Light source. Build a fire with.

Well, check this thing out. It isn't cheap. But is is the multi-tool of the light world.

What light sources are you guys carrying. Flashlights are expected. What other sources do you have if any.

Still making the BOB but my EDC light is a Shiningbeam modded Romisen RC-N3

Runs on 1x CR123 or 2x AA cells making it very versatile. It's bright, small, with a good throw. I can remove the reflector for a power close flood beam.

I need more lights (and a lot of stuff) but I'm getting there slowly...

That is what I wanted to get. I have one I keep in the camper. Wanted to get a couple. One or two for at home. And then in the B.O.B.

Add that to the list with the flares.

Barb's dad got us a set of them for Christmas one year. She got one and mine went into the BOG (bug out gear). Never have to worry about checking batteries.

Dive Rite's LED 500-Lumen Dive Light delivers 500 lumens of illumination for over 12-hours on eight quality AA 1.5V alkaline batteries The design incorporates a unique LED system created especially for divers that delivers an outstanding combination of high light output and very long burn time. With a brightness equal to 10W HID lights, the durable LED's offer the advantage of a 10,000 hour life and resists breakage. The 6500° Kelvin color temperature of the LED's is whiter when compared to the HID bulb. The LED light burns at full brightness for at least 12-hours and then slowly dims as battery voltage declines, yielding usable light for up to 30 hours.

My dive light pulls double duty.... and I also have the usual mini mag lites (x2), and chem lights....

You could maybe protect those light sticks with something like this: http://www.cigarextras.com/index.asp...OD&ProdID=1978
Probably easy enough to find locally, so as to not require buying 50.
Even some PVC pipe with tape on the ends should do the trick.
