I can't believe my ears but yes a George Michael song covered by Sether sounds really good.

Sorry but I think that it sounds like crap but maybe it's a generational thing.

I put this in the same category as the cover of Land of Confusion by Disturbed, yes the song is done well as a cover, but give it some personality. It doesn't take much to take a popular song and re-record it with more distortion and gravely voice. The 80's is a popular genre for that since alot of people, love it or hate it, know the songs, the lyrics and the artists. That being said, it has been added into the rotation at www.pghrock.com

Anything George Michaels has recorded = shit.

Anything Seether has recorded = shit.

    That song = shit^2

Using that formula, we also find that the Disturbed cover = shit^2.

To see a proper cover, refer to Mastodon covering "The Bit," originally by The Melvins.

Careless Whisper has a special meaning to me. It was the song of my first dance with my wife when we were back in high school.

As an attempt to make the song into a "power ballad" Seether did merely ok. I believe that Nickelback would have sounded better.

Though it doesn't compare to the original in my opinion.

George Michael is a depraved drug addict.

That being said, he is objectively an excellent singer.

I used to love his stuff back in the day.

Kinda sad to see his current state of affairs.
He was one of God’s own prototypes—a high-powered mutant of some kind who was never even considered for mass production. He was too weird to live and too rare to die....

I guess you could say I have rather broad musical tastes, but yes, I said it.

Listen to him sing "Tonight" by Elton John/Bernie Taupin.

If you have ever had relationship problems, you will identify with it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6a9q7...eature=related

    Tonight
Do we have to fight again
    Tonight
I just want to go to sleep
    Turn out the light
But you want to carry grudges
    Nine times out of ten
    I see the storm approaching
Long before the rain starts falling

    Tonight
Does it have to be the old thing
    Tonight
    It's late, too late
To chase the rainbow that you're after
I'd like to find a compromise
And place it in your hands
My eyes are blind, my ears can't hear
And I cannot find the time

    Tonight
Just let the curtains close in silence
    Tonight
Why not approach with less defiance
The man who'd love to see you smile
Who'd love to see you smile
    Tonight
He was one of God’s own prototypes—a high-powered mutant of some kind who was never even considered for mass production. He was too weird to live and too rare to die....
