What would the US do if the Mexican war hit US?

We are already hearing lots of reports of Phoenix being the second highest kidnapping location in the world (Behind Mexico CIty), an estimated 90% or more of these kidnappings are directly related to the Mexican drug cartels.

Cities right on the other side of the Rio Grande are seeing homicides of 100+ a month, how long do we think before it is going to cross into the US and homicides along the border will spike?

Assuming the war hits cities like El Paso, San Antonio, Phoenix, Tucson, San Diego with the same level of violence witnessed in Mexico... what will our response be?

Military? Police business like usual?

Let the war rage on, it's like a self cleaning oven. The trouble makers just keep killing each other. Or, just legalize the shit, tax it and sell it in the state stores. We don't have much killing over liquor these days.

well, texASS and New Mexico and AZ have been feeling things like this for years... they are also getting more anf more fed up with it.

AZ is still a GREAT place to live life when it comes to firearms laws. TX is as well and new mexico is close too.

i think that Sand in my eggo will have end up feeling more of it if it starts coming more north.

the other states will start taking things into the hands of people being fed up with it.

i miss living in AZ (Yuma,) but i dont miss being a minority and having people expect me to speak spanish. every time i went to mexico (MAYBE 3 times in 6 years of living in San Diego and AZ) i took someone who spoke the language. its a respect thing in my eyes.

With Obama in command, the response will be typically liberal. ie. It must be our own fault. We are not being accommodating enough to the poor Mexicans and they have to resort to violence. We will raise taxes on businesses in border states as a punishment to the exploitative nature of capitalism, and use the money to create jobs for drug cartel hit men. Legislation will be forced into the state governing bodies to make Spanish a co-legal language. Failure to comply will mean loss of stimulus money. Never waste a crisis.

Lose.

I don't think there is a war between the US and Mexican criminals. I think the war is between Mexican criminals, Moslem extremists, socialists, communists, Russia, China, and Europe to see who gets it. The US is a prize being fought over, not a participant in the fighting.

Never happen because if the "shit" was legal, look at how many federal employees would have nothing to do, and locally how many police, judges, attorneys, DAs, children & youth caseworkers, rehab faculities, etc., etc. would have their workload cut way back. Its all about the money. Funny how NFA 34 was created right after prohibition- those treasury agents need work.
