Berkshire shotgun question

Very long story short, I have some firearms that I have the opportunity to purchase from a family member for what I believe to be a good price. The price, however, is kinda not relevant. I am just looking for any info on berkshire shotguns. It is a 16 gauge dbl barrel. I believe it was from Sears, and is somewhat old...3o years?

I have a couple of other guns to ask about but will do so in the appropriate section. I am just looking for any information on these guns. Anything, history, quality, value(but really just curious, this will have no bearing on whether the guns are purchased or not.)
