Default Knox ops recoil reducing SpecOps Stock?

I'm confused. How do they work?
I'm in market for Stock for Mossy 500, and thinking about either SpecOps NRS or SpecOps recoilreducing stock.

How do those recoil reducing stock work? Do reciever slide backwords as you fire? Thats what it looks like on their video posted on their site...

the stock has a big spring in it and a rail that the receiver mount slided in. you mount the shotty to the receiver and when fired the receiver slides back a bit in the stock.

VERY nice when shooting slugs or 3 inch shells. comes in VERY handy at the clay range as well.

i want one, but always end up buying something else... :-(

I am a fan as well. I would expect a little cheek slap for the smaller framed shooter.

ive had it on my 870 for bout 3 years now....i love it, my wife loves it....bout as much kick with 2 3/4 slugs as my sks.....you can even shoot slugs one handed (dont know why youd need to but its a neat trick with your friends) also very sturdy, my gun took a 10 foot fall right onto the stock and its fine....its the best thing i bought for my shotty by far, and if i ever get another shotgun it will have a knoxx product on it

Count me in to. They work very well. I have one on my Mossy that I use for coyotes. Another thing that's nice is it can be shortened so if your in close with your back to a tree. Never any problem with cheek slap

I just got an NRS on my Mossy 590. I like it even without the recoil suppression. Definitely more convenient for rifle sights and easier to handle.

I was thinking of NRS first, because Specops, I thought looked odd how it does not follow the shape of reciever. But after reading up on what/how recoil reducer works, I realise that odd look has its purpose.

Thumbs up Re: Knox ops recoil reducing SpecOps Stock?

Get one you well love it. I have one on my 870 and I can say enough good things about it. You will think you are shooting a 10/22. Well almost.
