Cycle rate reduction with Wolf ammo
I was shooting Lake City brass and Wolf metal tonight with my M16 and noticed that the cycle rate with the Wolf was significantly slower. I also notice that the fired Wolf cases are heavier. Could that small amount of weight explain the cycle rate difference or is it possibly a powder issue? I tried with a 20" upper and a 14.5" and the difference remained constant.
Does anyone know when/where the next full auto get together might be?

Re: Cycle rate reduction with Wolf ammo
I've never shot wolf full auto but I've heard of that before. Word on the street is it's because it's underpowered.
I had some specialty rounds slow the cyclic rate of my M16 way down and they were brass case. My freind's gun was short stroking with the ammo so it was pressure related. Same thing is reported with Wolf.

Re: Cycle rate reduction with Wolf ammo
The ammo itself is VERY underpowered.
When I re-zeroed my M16A1 after a case of Wolf I had to move the zero UP almost a foot at 100 yards.
If you’re going to use it for Rock & Roll it’s just fine; except for the extra powder residue.
