    Default My New HK P2000SK

I'm so excited! This was my first firearm purchase and I'm very pleased with my decision! I did months of research and narrowing down to an HK. Runner's up were Glock 27, Walther P99c, or a Sig P239. (all in .40)

I chose the H&K P2000 SK .40. This is the V3 variant. For those who aren't familiar with this particular model, the "SK" is the sub-compact. The regular P2000 is considered the compact. I was going to get that but glad I got this one since it will be easier to carry.

I have yet to get a holster for it. Not sure which kind I want to get, but something that will accomodate it's small size well and work nicely for CC. I hear Blackhawk Serpa's are nice. Also considering and IWB too.

Very nice man. I have been looking for an H&K in .40, looks like this may be the ticket...whats the msrp on one of those?

    Sweet! I love sub-compacts!

Range report? Hopefully it shoots as nice as it looks.

For this model price will depend if you get the regular or SK model, and also the caliber. It comes in 9mm, .357, and .40. Price can range anywhere from $650-$850. Just so you know, the SK's are on the upper end of that price range. Not sure why. In my research, most of the .40's in either the regular size or SK are running $700-$850.

OP- Check out the Comptac MTAC holster. I carry a P2000 daily in one of those and would recommend it to anyone. They are good pistols, my friend has one as well. I went with the P2000 instead of the sk because my pinky would not stay on that gun and made it awkward to hold.

    Nice choice on the SK
I like the 9mm myself, because that .40 has a lot of snap in subcompact...

    Congrats and be safe.

Okay thanks, I will look into that holster. I was worried about the same thing on the SK. I was going to the P2000 because of that also. I have large hands and after holding it for the first time my pinky sticks out below the bottom of the mag too but after holding it different ways I don't think it will be a problem.

Well good luck to you. Practice drawing a lot, sometimes I have trouble getting a good grip on my P2000, I can't imagine that it's any easier with the sk.
