Well, if the unemployment lasts long enough, so that the unemployment 'free ride' runs out, I guess we will have Americans willing to do the jobs that the illegal's were doing. Illegal immigration problem solved. No jobs here for them, no reason for them to come here.

Re: Fasten your seatbelts
No but like he said americans will be taking whatever job they can to survive and that means picking crops in the fields, being grunts on construction sites etc which means no job available for illegals since they have no education don't speak our language and can;t get anything out of thos fields. Itls just a shame cause I work for a company that sponsors 15 costa ricans who all are good guys and love america an learn the language but work 9 month on work visa then go home for three. Even they have a problem with the illegals cause they see taxes getting taken out of their checks and that pisses them off.

I feel bad for all the people who were planning to retire, buttttt..........you guys shouldn't have had all (or even most) of your eggs in the equity basket. What stinks is your 401k is kind of limited to where you can put your money - it's mostly equity funds, right?
For people 45+, you really should have most of your money in money markets, bonds, and other tax-free/low-risk stuff.
On the bright side, government employment is up!
