MAGAZINE CAPACITY
EVERY ONE THESE DAYS ARE HOOKED ON MAG . CAPACITY. BUT FOR THE RECORD I TO USE HI CAP MAGS IN ALL MY SEMIAUTO'S . BUT I WAS TRAINED BY A VERY COMPITENT INSTRUCTOR WHO TOUUGHT ME A VERY IMPORTANT LESSON. BY PRACTICING YOUR DRAW FROM HOLSTER TO ENGAGEMENT OF YOUR OTHER HAND IN A PUSH PULL MOTION AS YOU AQUIRE THE TARGET AND PLACE THE FRONT SIGHT AT CENTER MASS WHILE PULING THE TRIGGER
YOU WILL FIND THAT YOUR FIRST SHOT IS VERY ACCURATE CONSIDERING MOST CONFLICTS ENCOUNTERED CONSIST OF THREE SHOTS OR LESS DOMESTICALLY ! HIGH CAPACITY MAGS ARE NOT THE MOST CRUCIAL ITEM.
THE SKILL AND PLACEMANT OF THAT FIRST SHOT AS WELL AS THE ONE YOU MAY NEED AFTERWARD HAVE AND WILL SAVE LIVES............................ YOUR THOUGHTS ?

Re: MAGAZINE CAPACITY
Please turn off the "Caps Lock" key, as it's considered "SHOUTING".
And yes, shot placement is very important.
I'd still prefer to have the ability to place 15 rounds well, than 8.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: MAGAZINE CAPACITY
ummm thanks... and your point is? I mean other then "I have a keyboard with a stuck caps-lock key" of course
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: MAGAZINE CAPACITY
I did not realize everyone was hooked on hi-cap mags these days......... all situations are different though so i guess some people feel it is better to have too many than too few..... i cant really argue that logic.

Thanks for the caps lock advice . didnt know it was on but my glock 22 with 15 and 1 makes me happy to. but my point was simply practicing an accurate first defensive shot. but thanks

Re: MAGAZINE CAPACITY
+1 First shots placement are always important , however studies of actual shootings have repeatedly shown that it most all cases , the first one , two , maybe three shots are likely to be misses due to any number of factors , surprise , light levels , andrenalin dump , multiple attackers, etc . Of course things change if we're talking a contact or close contact distance . Now if you know theres a good likely hood that the initial shots may miss , how many do you have left to resolve the encounter ? What if your assailant is wearing a vest , multi layered clothing , hopped up on drugs ? How many more shots after your first miss ( es ) , and now some follow ups that fail to stop the attack do you have remaining ? If your carrying a wheel gun , your most likely empty and forced to reload under immense pressure .
A full cap semi auto may still have as many as 5 to 7 rounds left before running dry . When I lived in Florida I carried three 15 round mags , plus one in the chamber . Thats 46 rounds of 147 grain Federal JHP peace thru superior firepower . If I cant solve the problem with 46 rounds , then the problem isnt solvable .Last edited by son of the revolution; March 6th, 2009 at 12:46 AM.

Re: MAGAZINE CAPACITY
First off, I could not turn the cap-lock off for you so I reduced your scream to a slight shout.
Second, Its standard capacity, High cap mags for my gun hold 33 rounds, 17 is standard...
If you believe it to be too much, only put the 3 you say you need. it can be carried almost empty you know.
The main reason people want Standard capacity mags is because of competition where you might have more then a few targets to shoot 3 rounds at, lets say an IDPA where you might have up to 8 or 9 targets, so by your standard of 3 shots well placed, you would need up to 8 or 9 mags with 3 or maybe 4 bullets in them, where as others might just need 2 mags, a standard capacity 16rd +1 then a second 16 rounder to finish off the targets.
PS, there is a little insignia on top , looks like ABC with a check mark, that is a spell check. Nice option.Skeet is a sport where you are better to hit half of each bird then completely blast one and miss the other completely.
