Default New to re loading my ammo..tips

    Hello All
I just purchased an AR15 and want to reload my own ammo. I have never done this before. Can you give me some direction before I go out and buy either stuff I dont need or get sold stuff I dont need.

the first thing I would do is go out and buy a good reloading book and read it,
Lee puts out a good one as dose Hornady, and Lyman, and keep coming back to this form, for tips, you can put as much or little money in to it as you want

Thanks...I was just looking at the Lee LoadMaster .223 with Progressive Reloading. Pricing seems resonable but do not know anything about this machine.

a lot of guys like the Lee, As you can tell I like the Hornady and now they have a deal going that you get 1000 bullets with the lock n load AP press or 500 with the single stage press, and 100 free bullets with the Dies, and the hornady press is about the strongest made press for the money

The "ABC's of Reloading" is a good starter book. It will explain all the parts to reloading from start to finished product. Will show you the tools used and explain them and how they fit into the program. Most reloading manuals will also do this to some extent. If you read it (them), you will then understand what you will need to start reloading and you will then be able to ask more indepth questions.
