Ranges around Pittsburgh that are Public and you can bring your own ammo?
What ranges are there (non-membership) that you can bring your own ammo to?
I know there is Anthony Arms but they require buying ammo there.
There is A&S in Youngwood that allows you bring your own ammo.
any other gun ranges around the area that are not part of a club membership required?

state game land in wexford will, but rather sucks as far as ranges go.
Id rather pay $100 once to join a club for the first year and shoot on a whim than pay $10 ten times or even per hour.

If you plan on shooting much at all, Pitcairn Monoreville Sportsmans Club is a hell of a deal. for the price of a couple Mags you can shoot anytime. Not sure what your "deal" is with non membership, but this place is a pretty good option for most. if you just want to shoot once or twice a year, become friends with a member, or come to the group shoots that are held there once a month....BTW this coming from someone who almost joined that lives an Hour and 45 mins away.....if I lived closer it would be a No-Brainer
Glock Pistols.......So simple a Caveman could fix them!

thanks guys ... I live about an 1 hr away from the Monroeville club. there is a sportsman club near McDonald that I am going to this weekend for the first time (friend of a friend belongs)... so will go check it out this weekend.
just wondering whats out there for non-member type ranges but allows you to bring your own ammo instead of paying at the range higher prices plus higher prices for targets ... ect... someplace a few friends can go where we don't all have to be members.
If you belong to a club how many guests can you normally bring with you to the range?Last edited by clueless; March 4th, 2009 at 11:55 AM.

found out that A&S indoor range in Youngwood you can bring your own ammo, just need to purchase their targets. you need to purchase their ammo only if renting one of their guns.

I'm curious to hear you expand on that opinion; I was thinking of driving down there someday soon to check it out; with most ranges requiring referrals, mandatory meetings that always conflict with my work schedule, and other requirements; I'm leaning towards a public range.
