Default Opinions on the Taurus 85B2UL Revolver?

Hey guys looking for opinions on the Taurus 85B2UL. I will be trading one of my many semi straight up for an almost brand new one. I want something small for CC and also to sit by my fiances night stand since she can't rack the slide on my semis.

    What do ya'll think?

My wife had the stainless version. She liked carrying it, wasn't so fond of shooting it, especially with +Ps. It was a snappy critter, for sure. It was plenty accurate, always went bang, never broke. It was a good gun.

I just purchased on and my first impressions is it is an awesome gun. Honestly I was expecting some heavy recoil, but man it was like nothing. On the flip side my sister who only shoots rifle thinks every gun I own kicks a lot but she said it was tolerable. She has a horrible grip/stance. I think it is a great buy and fun to shoot as far as snubs go.

My dad has an older steel framed 85. He has put quite a few rounds through it and never had a problem. It is a nice shooter! I say Go For It!

I have one as a backup for out of state travel. (Don't want to lose one of my J-Frames to the wheels of Justice!) It is a good reliable gun. I own 7 snubbies and I shoot standard .38 Spcl ammo in all of them. +P is for longer barreled heavier guns IMHO. With standard .38 Spcl in them the Taurus 85UL are good handling and accurate guns. If you want real documented 1 stop kill capability, mount a Barret .50 cal on top of you SUV and never leave the car! A standard .38 spcl with a good bullet is going to the job as well as a 2" barrel can.
