    Default My new starter kit!

It was in stock, and it's my birthday...what can I say!

I also picked this up (mainly for the book, but now I have a second press too)

Now...I guess all I need is:

    Dies
Tumbler (thinking of the frankford kit)
    Components

I dont think I need them right away, but case trimmer etc?

nice start...what did it all run ya? only down fall to single stage presses is the time it takes to make a complete bullet, but you'll definitely cut your prices in almost half for a full bullet.

    good luck and read up!

I'd recommend getting a caliper and bullet puller...

all together it was $120 shipped with my Midway birthday discount (I just had to place the order before sat).

    I have calipers.

Good call on the puller, I'll get one of those with the dies next order(paycheck).

In stock, eh? I've had a kit like that on backorder at Cabelas for nearly two weeks now. Lucky find for you!

I would recomend get the lee case length sizers for the ammo you are going to reload. They are only around $5 each and you will save alot of time.I use all lee products and saved alot of money.I also reload for my friends, they purchace the dyes, powder, etc and I do the reloading.

I got the tumbler long before getting a case trimmer. The trimmers are good for rifle brass. If your starting with handguns you don't really need to size the brass.

You can never have enough supplies. Brass, primers and powder.

Next thing is to get started!

First time at the range with reloads is thrilling!

I do not want to hijack, but I just am getting set up with reloading too. Is a bullet puller necessary? Can I just use two sets of plyers? One for the brass and the other for the bullet?

The bullet puller wont damage the round or the brass, using pliers likely will.

If you haven't bought dies yet, look into RCBS. I think they are higher quality then Lee and they have a feature that allows you to lock the nut in place...you won't have to reset it every time like you will with the Lee dies.
