    Default New member in Bucks...

Just wanted to say hello all! Been lurking for a bit... finally registered this morning. I've been shooting off and on for a number of years but have just recently stepped into handgun ownership. It's been great so far! Learning a bunch, meeting some great people.

My "home range" currently is Target World, however I will be trying Classic Pistol in Southampton this week. Both are equal distances from my house...

    Enjoy the forum!

Thanks! I usually go to TW on Sundays, although it's not set in stone. Weekends have been absolutely chaotic anyplace gun-related lately...

I'll probably go to either TW or CP at some point this week, though (weeknight).

    Hi guys and gals.
    New here also.

I haven't had a lot of experience with guns. Went shooting a few times with my cousins and also received some instruction from my boss on handling the pistol he had under the counter. (years ago).
I have never had any formal training. And thats what I'm doing here. Learning. Then a course or 2, before I even consider making a purchase.

It's been almost 15 years, but my first formal introduction to the safe handling of firearms was the Hunter-Trapper Education program. There will inevitably be a lot of youngsters in the group, as parents who hunt use this as an intro for their children, but there are no maximum age limits. The best part is that it's free!

Sunday's are the day I usually go as well. It hasn't been too bad at the times I've gone. Usually between 1-3PM. CP is a slight hike.

I had to wait 10 minutes for a lane yesterday... Got there around 2pm. Overall it was fine, lots of burned relays on the target wires due to newbies burning them out. Aside from that, great fun!

I may or may not be out of town this weekend. If not, I'll probably go on Sunday again...

    Welcome Burton
Was in Tanner's today, said they can't get guns in fast enough. Shelves were definitely lightly stocked.

Yeah, I was in Tanner's on Saturday and it was hopping busy. Purchased 10 boxes of .45 ACP. I anticipate my next trip to pick up more will be extremely soon. Need to get in the habit of hitting these places during "off" hours - presumably weekdays during the day.
