Question for FAL guys

I'm working on putting together a FAL from an IMBEL kit, and I came up a few parts short. I understand that some parts are compatible between FAL and L1A1, but what about the bolt hold open? I know about the L1A1 not having the little pin for the last round hold open, but are they the same aside from that? Length/ diameter? I'm building a metric rifle, but I can only find the commonwealth part.

unless I'm mistaken, the part you speak off is compatible between metric and inch FALs, with just a little bit of modification.

If you have the leaver just add the pin

go to Gun Parts guys. They still have odd ball parts left

Or go to SARCO. They still have everything other than barrels or receivers.

DSA has all too, but probably more exspensive.
