So, I went out with a few friend to night and was talking about the political situation we are in. The bail out. The AWB, etc.

And all of a sudden some asshole walks in with the following t-shirt.

I am extremely, extremely upset right now. I am even more upset that I was the only one there that was upset by this. I am very reactionary, however I am pretty accurate in my assumptions. I am sure of one thing at this point, Obama is a Communist. I mean, if these fuckers don't like the us, can't they just go to some communist country???

Arf.com is trying to organize efforts, but I don't know how well they are doing. How long, how long is it going to take before I start to see some real resistance... how much will we tolerate? I don't mean to piss on everyone efforts, but I don't see much.

And probably, that same dude is writing a post on another forum, saying..

"Last night I wore this socialist shirt, to try to get people to talk to me, so I could explain them how Obama was a commie, and as a country we are headed down the wrong path,

and all I got was some asshole giving me dirty looks all night and sneaking cell phone pics of me."

Did you even try to strike a conversation with the guy?? Or just assumed the worst?

I'd be damn curious if the guy wearing the shirt actually understood what socialism really is ... had it been me I think I would have engaged him in a conversation that eventually led to that discussion and would have tried to show him some of the 'finer points' of socialism, if you get my drift.

But that being said it is a free country, we still have the freedom of religion, political ideals and affiliations and most of all freedom of expression. His right to wear that shirt and, maybe, think socialism is a great idea is as much a 'god given' freedom as our right to bear arms is. I've said it before and I will keep saying it, once we start attacking people's freedoms that we may feel are offensive or counter productive to our cause we are just as bad as those that would attempt to take away the freedoms we hold near and dear.
