    Default Children's Hospital/Pittsburgh

My son was taken there tonight for observation after an accident.

    Are there metal detectors?

Last time I was there (2007) there was no such thing. Don't worry about it too much, the worst they can do is tell you to take it back to your car.

We are home. My son is o.k.

    There are no metal detectors.

    Life is very good.

    Thank you for your help.

glad to hear all went well. Only hospital around the area i've noticed w/ metal detectors is presby, which are only used late at night and to be honest the folks running it are morons, in probably 50+ trips i've never had an issue w/ CCing right passed them

Thank you. Poor guy missed working on merit badges this morning. After a helicopter ride and four hours sleep, it's understandable but he's bummed.

Metal detectors at Presby: Thank goodness there are morons running the place. Considering all the things that happen in the city every night and who the people are that do these things, it's ridiculous to walk into a hospital unequipped to handle an emergency.

I would just like to add that the people at childrens are great. I have been in and out a few times with my son (7 months) in the past 2 weeks. And no I have not noticed any metal dectors or no gun signs. But there are no smoking signs ever 3ft.

And the valet parkingis the best thing ever! Plus I have a lifted jeep so it gets parked right at the doors on the upper level as it is too tall to go down below. lol.
