I really debated myself about posting this...

I don't get into OC vs CC debates. Period. Check all of my posts and you'll see that I don't.

I don't adhere to carrying one way or the other. I just carry, if it happens to show..it shows, if it's covered....it's covered. I don't put much thought into it.
It's like my cell phone, sometimes I wear the belt holster for it, sometimes it's in my pocket, I think nothing of it either way.

I've only been commented on a few times by people other than my wife and I generally take the route of explaining the legalities in brief to said person or depending on their demeanor...ignoring them.

I've only had to speak to an officer once, and the exchange went well and was within all legal boundaries of all parties involved.

Last night while satisfying my pregnant wife's latest craving I was waiting in line with the items she wanted and noticed the older gentleman in front of me had a "world war II vet" hat on. And I asked to shake his hand and thank him for his service. After a brief conversation he noticed my gun and simply stated...."good to see some people still have common sense (while nodding at my gun) stay safe"

In all honesty...I didn't know it was showing, but figured that I'd let you guys know of the exchange...a morale booster as they say.

I think everyone should thank anyone who served, whether in combat or not...just how I feel.

I'll make it a point to do the exact same thing the next time I see a vet or current military.

It's been too long. They're the main reason we continue to keep our rights while fighting for everyone else's.
