    Default A quick question on carrying in Philly

    Hi all!

    I'm being roped into a trip to Philly this weekend. I know PA carry laws pretty well - no worries there.

    Can any of you locals or recent visitors point out which of the big tourist spots have metal detectors and/or security bag checks, etc.?

    The only place I know for sure that we're going is the Franklin Institute, and I think that's no problem, but I'm sure the itinerary will expand.

    So, what about it? Does the Franklin have detectors? Where else does?

    Last time I was there (for the horrible King Tut exhibit) they didn't have detectors. May have changed now, not sure. I was armed at the time as well. I didn't go anywhere unarmed that weekend.

    Franklin Institute doesn't have detectors (or didn't the last time I was there), but the Federal stuff does. The Liberty Bell, Mint, Independence Hall, etc.
