Charles Daly tactical shotgun? Anyone?
I'm thinking about getting this
Charles Daly SP Home defence
-12 Gauge, 3" chamber
-18½" multi-choke, chrome lined, interchangeable barrel with internal Cylinder choke tube
-Ghost Ring adjustable rear sight with red fiber optic front sight
-Pistol grip buttstock with extended forearm
-Sling adaptor for right or left side sling attachment
-Capacity: 5+1 2¾" shells
Whats your opinion? Gun is pretty well made, very good ghost ring rear with fiberoptic front. Pistol grip.
I'd rather get Mossy or Remington, but they are nowhere to be found!Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Charles Daly tactical shotgun? Anyone?
I saw these at the gun show low price and the quality appears good enough for the money. If all your going to use it for is home defense I'd say it's a good choice. they are nice looking guns in my opinion. They were selling for under $300.00 actually right around $275.00 to $295.00. Good luck with your decision, if you do get it post a reply and let us know how you like it.

Re: Charles Daly tactical shotgun? Anyone?
Like you said, quality seems to be pretty good. I'm not sure how it'll shoot, but as far as fit/finish was great on one that I looked it at.
I really liked the ghost ring rear sight with Fiberoptic front sight I think sight on this weapon is one of best I've seen on most shotty.
Eventho I'm planning to drill and tap for weaver base for red dot, its still nice to have goos solid iron sight.
Only thing I'm concerened about is that lack of aftermarket support(in term of buttstock/foreguard, and all the other gadget makes tinkering with Mossy 500 and Rem870 so much fun), and eventho barrel and mag extention is supposed to be available from Charles Daly, I'm not sure how their parts support is like.
But for something i can just have right by my bed, until its needed, it seems like pretty good deal..Audemus jura nostra defendere

I've dealt with CD in the past anf found them to be very customer friendly. I have never had or seen that particular shotgun before. I kinda like it. If they tossed the AR style tele-stock on that bad boy.... I'd be in for sure!

thats just it.
They are NOT compatible with any aftermarket furniture out there(i called CD and asked. Something about not being able to import it if its compatible or equipped with folding or pistol grip).
I have, however, read some post over at Charles daly forum that you can modify any buttstock designed for Mossy 500 to work with this weapon. how much work it need I donno thoAudemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Charles Daly tactical shotgun? Anyone?
this is my badboy I just bought, it cycles low power and high power shells fast as I can pull.
the first thing I did when I got home was start firing with the stock oiling 25* light snowy weather It fired flawless and I cannot say the same about the benelli which only likes the high power rounds and tends to FTE low power shells.
the needed mods can be found I just ordered a light for the rail. and a mag tube extender for 7rounds
