you can ship any long gun by us postal service, handguns must go through private carrier like fedex or ups.

Dick Hughey in Aston will do this for you, I think he charges 25-35 depending on gun size/weight (if he can use the priority boxes I think). Many times this is cheaper then paying UPS/Fedex the overnight fees.

In the past I've found it impossible finding PA FFL's in the Allentown area who will accept incoming shipments from private individuals... and I'm guessing other states are the same way... especially those with more stringent laws than PA.

Can't say I blame them, either.

How can they know, for sure, whether the sender truly owns the item, or whether the sender is giving his real name and address, or that the sender didn't do "something stupid" with the firearm before getting rid of it?
