Colt Trooper Mark III - questions
So I have the opportunity to buy a Colt Trooper Mark III for a good price. I hesitate to buy it because the cylinder slips past the notch by one or two chambers if I spin the cylinder as I close the action. The teeth on the back of the cylinder seem to be somewhat worn (but not too bad) but it seems to lock up pretty tight once the cylinder comes to rest.
Should I be concerned with the way the cylinder slips as it closes, or is this normal for Colt revolvers?

Re: Colt Trooper Mark III - questions
I had a similar problem develop in my King Cobra along with other issues.
I was using it to shoot pin matches and constantly shot it with heavy 158 or 180 grain magnum loads. We had to knock the pins completely off the table.
It should be fine if you're only going to shoot .38's out of it, but you might have trouble if you feed it a steady diet of .357's.
