Engraving for Form I
I have a couple of items that need engraving for Form I. The first is a no-dak spud m-92 receiver and the second is an UZI. Reading the .003 depth requirement and the notation about not easily being obliterated, I don't see how laser engraving satisfies the statutory requirement. I was advised that once I have something laser engraved that if I refinish the gun you no longer easily see the engraving.
So, I am in Easton PA and am willing to travel to have the receiver engraved. I can get the receivers laser engraved in Quakertown but do not know of a competent SOT who does machine engraving.
Any suggestions are welcomed. I would prefer to not ship these items but if I have to I will.

Re: Engraving for Form I
I don't think the laser engraving is a good idea, because of the required depth.
As far as I know, you don't have to take it to a Class III/SOT Dealer to have the engraving done.
I had a jeweler friend of mine do it for me while I waited. You could also have someone who does trophy/plaque engraving. The only thing is that, I believe you cannot leave the receiver in their possession while you are not present.ZRT -SECTOR-7
