    Default Rifle/shotgun transport to range

I am a little unclear on one thing. I have an LTCF i need to make a stop after I go to the range am I allowed to do this with the rifle in car as long as it is unloaded and separate from any ammo or will I need to take it home first. Thanks for an help in advance.

Standard length rifles and shotguns are not "firearms" as defined by the licensing statute. You can keep an unloaded rifle or shotgun in your vehicle at all times, but can NEVER have a loaded one in your vehicle, even if you have a LTCF.
