MAK-90 Project / Questions

Ok, well here we go. I've purchased this Polytech MAK-90 with the hopes of turning it into more of a tactical rifle. So far, all goes fair except for a few minor bumps. And below i've posted the original image of the rifle, and then the current state. This is obviously a work in progress but thought i'd get some people's opinions. If anyone asks i'll gladly post a guide, but its not very hard to do. ( hint might enjoy posting one even though its simple lol )

My question is this : in the last picture, I cannot get that clip to stay tight. It wont grip and it slides off as soon as I put any foregrip on.

the front hand guard retainer utilizes a cutout in the barrel, and is held in place by a lever that cams into place, to keep the retainer in place.

you need to ensure the retainer slides back onto the handguard to engage the cutout, then the lever locks back toward the REAR of the gun to engage.

the gas tube and upper hand guard then ensures the lever cannot flip up and forward to disengage.

if you need a new one, they can be acquired, but require the gas block and front sight tower to be unpinned and removed to do this.

check proper fitting before anything else.

But ... nice job on the MAK-90 pickup. Wish I would have picked up one a while ago before the prices started to increase.
