    Default powder for .45acp

    what are you using?
there are a bunch to pick from. and i have little clue where to start.
all i want is to push a 230gr fmj/tmj to around 850-900 fps at the muzzle.
seems like they will all do this, but jeeze what is the difference between them?

i picked up some universal, just thought i would start there.
it's only metal, we can out think it....

Clays is a bit cleaner and easier to see in the case, but I also use Titegroup as well. Can't go wrong with either.

Just make sure you get "Clays" and not "Universal Clays". Totally different load data.

I have tried Clays, w231, Bullseye, Unique, SR 7625, AA #5. They all work for my purposes. I keep coming back to Bullseye; that's what's in the press right now.
