Re: cmv ccw
If it's your truck...no problem.
If you're driving a company truck, know the company's policy (which could mean termination if firearms are prohibited)...then make your decision and keep your mouth shut.Last edited by RoyJackson; February 17th, 2009 at 10:16 PM.

Generally speaking, laws prohibit things rather than allow them.
You won't find a law that says you're "allowed" to carry a firearm in a commercial vehicle.
You won't find one saying it's prohibited either....thus, it's legal.Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.

If you have a cwp and allowed by your employer, then go for it.

Re: cmv ccw
Keep in mind (as noted above), that your employer may institute any policies they wish regarding firearms. Such policies are not illegal, and while violating them may not be illegal either, they most certainly can terminate your employment for failure to abide by company policy. If they are telling you they won't permit you to carry, don't expect to sue them over "your rights" and win. They have rights too.

Re: cmv ccw
Not only do you have to consider company policy (so that applies to Owner Operators that sign a lease contract) but shipper and consignee policy. Nestle in Fogelsville prohibits firearms so if you have an issue there expect your company to give you crap.
What is it you`re going to fight?
