Default Is the price of ammo starting to come down?

Just got back from Big R. As I was standing there a lady was lowering the price on their ammo. Remington UMC .45 ACP had a tag below it with a sale price of $39 per 100. As I watched, she lowered the price of the same ammo to $33 per 100, lower than their sale price. My wife now has another 100 rounds of ammo for her .45.

The lady told me that almost all the ammo she'd checked had the prices going down by at least a couple bucks. I've also noticed that the prices for my bullets has gone down by about $3 per 500. Has anyone else seen prices actually starting to come down?

They had a LOT of ammo in stock, too, including the handgun and .22 ammo that has been awfully scarce lately. Been a while since I've seen a store with ammo shelves full.

Oops, forgot I didn't see any when I lived there.

Big R is a store kinda like K-Mart, Wal-mart, Target.

Not that i've noticed, though I only buy bulk so a few wks ago when i got 45acp it was $11.99/50. The price on that $45acp was marked up so high at $40/100 they prob weren't selling any, even at $33/100 its still high from what you can find it at IMO

Seems guns are cheaper here, ammo pricier. Blazer and American Eagle ammo is going for about $19 per 50 all over here.

What really got my attention is that bullet prices have dropped from two different suppliers.

I bought the last 4K of it, and when it came back in stock it was $14 a box I believe.

Check your prices against J&G sales. I got a green ham (Spam can) of HotShot for $174+ shipping, came to $208 total.

The last I even saw it around here was $225 and climbing.

    .
JGs prices seemed to have jumped a couple of bucks from last week $84 vs. $79 on x54R, $137 vs $129 for 7.62x25, etc.
