    Default Mosquito Creek coyote hunt

    Anyone going?

Also did anyone see the black coyote someone got last year or maybe it was the year before?

I was just talking to one of my "guys" today, usually it's just him and 2 others that go up, but this year some other guys will be with them. Supposedly the coyotes are thicker in #'s up there this year, true? I am hoping at least 1 of these guys gets a nice one and wants me to do a full mount, I love doing coyote mounts.

Oh I'm going. I grew up about 3 miles from the Sportsmen's Club, and I've been a card carrying member since I was 18, but have yet to participate in the Coyote Hunt. I was up there hunting deer and I saw a ton of Coyote scat and other sign. This hunt couldn't have been scheduled at a better time. I need to get my ass out of the city for a while. haha.

Even if I don't see a Coyote, at least I can have a drink at the Club. It's my favorite backwoods watering hole.

I'd like to go. But, we probly won't unless we get one. it's a bit of a drive for us. It would be nice to see some members there and "put the text to a person".

Wink Re: Mosquito Creek coyote hunt

Question I originally hail from NY. I have never been yodie hunten but I want to really bad. Now I know in PA your not supposed to hunt deer or bear with a semi auto but what about yodies? I have a Stag Arms 6.8 spc ar-15 running Horady 110 gr v-maxes thru it and I really really want to kill a yodie with it. And where's a good public place to hunt them in PA hopefully not to far from pittsburgh

eventhough i have seen guys hunting with ar-15's up in that area i wouldnt do it. We were going to run some dogs the one day and the one guy showed up with the 30 rounder in and i walked the other way. I didnt want to be any part of it.

Okay but my question is it legal. I don't want to break the law. Is there something wrong with hunting with AR-15s for some reason I keep getting that impression. I don't see the difference between hunting with a bolt action or a punp action and semi.

I don't believe it is legal to hunt anything with a semi-auto in PA. Wanted to hunt with an M1 and the only way I could do it was by removing the gas plug so it wouldn't auto feed.

You can remove the gas tube and make it a single shot. If you want to hunt with a semi-auto, there is always the option of cutting off a hand!!! lol Hey, that second option takes real commitment... lol
