    Default CSI:NY rant

I watched in disbelief tonight (holding down my end of the couch in St. Valentine's Day solidarity with the spouse) as a 9mm slug (which typically run from about 115 gr to 147) was supposedly misidentified as a .32 ACP (typically from about 60 to 70 gr) because the round, according to the story line, went through the front of a wadded up-newspaper and magically stripped 99% of its copper jacket away.

It must have been that damned bullet-destroying liberal rag the NYT, huh?

Later, Gary Sinise's character disarms a lawfully carrying bank employee and then exits after an interview, making a throwaway comment to his partner in Constitution-stomping (gotta love TV procedurals) about the bank and never doing business there.

Obviously, Jerry Bruckheimer doesn't want me doing business with any of his shows at this point.

That why I do not watch any of the main stream networks, less viewers = less customers = less advertisement dollars.

No matter what they or the moronic politicians think the hollywood lefties do not represent me, my beliefs or the real world for the most part.

I like the show. My wife just shakes her head when I start yelling at the tv that they screwed stuff up.

    But its just a show.

You can legally carry in NYC? Or was it not in the city?

I saw this episode too...did not like that comment either.

It's actually kind of surprising as Gary Sinise is a conservative Republican. As lead actor and producer of CSI: NY, I'd hope he had more input on scripts.

However, he did get his start in Chicago and is a Hollywood type...guess we can't expect too much.
