Default application to carry in PA

I know that I need to complete an application, which I can pick up at the Sherrif office in Adams County. My question is is the application on line that I can print rather than driving to pick it up. I realize I need to deliver to the S. Office once completed. The application may be on this web site but I couldn't find. Thanks. (Maybe it is not generic and it has to say Adams County)

What am I missing? Couldn't you just fill out the ap at the Sheriff's office when you go there? Even if you walk in the door with one filled out, you still have to wait (possibly 45 days) for your approved permit. Right? And you must pick up in person.

Use this form. You can fill it out online (you CAN'T save it) and print everything nice and neat. Some Sheriff's will accept the application by mail (make sure you send any required funds), then wait for your notification to pick up your LTCF when approved.

Thanks for the response. I need picture etc. So I can have it all together when I walk in and hand it to them. I could have had the picture then walked in and filled it out. I wasn't really thinking. Da, its valentine's day.

I don't know about Adams County, but York County will take your picture while you wait, in and out in 15 minutes. You don't necessarily need to provide one.

Most (all?) counties require a photograph to be submitted with the application so they know that the same party that applied/was approved is picking up the LTCF. My county photographed me (specifically for the license) when I picked it up, but I still had to submit a photo with my application.

I guess my deal was that I handed the app across the counter in person, they took the photos.

Not so easy to do if you can't get there during 'business' hours. My bad.

Yet another example of the "uniform" process across the state.

Well I did mine without ever showing up in person. Downloaded the form from Centre County. Mailed it in with a photo and a copy of my DE CCDW.

LTCF was mailed back to me to sign and send back two of the three part license. I didn't have to even step into any part of the state to get it.
