Handloaded Accelerator loads?
I've searched the web for hours for these. I've found multiple sites that offer the sabots. I've also found sites that say you need (and offer for sale) a die to seat the round into the sabot before loading it into your cartridge.
Does anyone have any experience with these? I'd like to try these out in my 300 WinMag.

Re: Handloaded Accelerator loads?
I have tried them in .30 M1 Carbine, .30-30, even a .300 WM. No special tools needed. Seat the .22 bullet into the sabot with finger pressure and load with the seating die. Not much luck with accuracy though. Fun to play with. PM me if you want to try a couple of the sabots and need loading data.

Re: Handloaded Accelerator loads?
Closest thing I have to experience with them would be the original box of Remingtons my stepdad has for his 30-30 bolt action. I know they did the .30 caliber sabot in the .50BMG at one point. Heck the M1A1 Abrams uses a sabot round. If you load them right I'm sure you could get some decent accuracy out of the rounds.
