    Smile 9mm P11 sights

I read that just about all pistol sights come from the factory shooting low. Why?
My Kel Tec P11 shoots real low is there a way to correct that?

I believe that's a myth. For example, Synergy shot my M&P last night, which hasn't been fully broken in yet, and hit it dead center on the first shot. I think it has to deal more with sight alignment and trigger control...proper sight alignment and a smooth trigger pull will definitely help put the shot where you want it to go.

PS-I prefer a blank rear sight in a pistol.

    Maybe, maybe not.

First make sure it's not you, and if it's the gun you can get replacement sights on the kel-tec website to adjust the elevation.

How far are you shooting from? What is way low?
    Give us some hints.
My XDM40 was set from the factory to be right on at a certain distance (Not sure if that was 25' or 25 yards right now).
I am finding I hit where I am aiming every time at 21'. My aimpoint drops if I pull the trigger instead of squeeze the trigger though. I have to line up all three dots and the top line of the sight is supposed to be at the center of the target. I haven't been really anal about this as this pistol is for self defense and I am putting 50 rounds in less than a 4 inch hole 95% of the time and usually don't go above 5" unless I am 50' away.
I thought certain rounds fire differently. Like Glocks not every gun fires the same for everyone. Have someone else you know and trust fire your pistol(?) and see if they consistently hit low as well. Maybe it is just you. Maybe not?

Having had one. I think your problem is the looooong trigger pull. It is heavy and long. And as such, you probably end up doing a lot of "anticipating" the pistol going off.

So, you're probably, like most people, having a tendency to "push" the pistol forward. Especially the closer you get to the end of the trigger pull. Even if it is just ever so slightly.

Try this. Put it on a really good brace, something that won't let you move, or the pistol, while your pulling the trigger. Then shoot slowly and deliberately and see if it still shoots low.

I'm betting you hit a lot closer to the bull eyes when you can't anticipate the pistol going off in your hand while holding it.

Me my wife and my 2 sons all shot it and it shot low for all of us. Different ammo affected it also. When we shot some federal 115g FMJ it was almost 5" low at 50". When I tried CCI Blazer Brass 115g FMJ it shot closer to where I aimed (higher). That same ammo shoots high in my SR9. We were at our indoor range which is 50'. All shots where while standing.

I am going to do what you said and put some sandbags on the table and test it that way and see what I get.

Most pistols or revolvers that I bought stated the fixed sights were dead on at 25 yards. I always found this to be an untruth. I hate compensating for a gun that shoots low, I prefer it shooting high!
