Default How NFA-friendly is the Chesco Sheriff?

I've got a bad case of the BRD, having bought two in the last two months and am now contemplating a SBR AR-15 with dedicated .22lr upper. Down the road I'd probably get a can for it that could also spend time on my Buckmark. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has run into any snags with the Chester County Sheriff signing off on any Class III stuff?

As a more general NFA question, how does it work when you build the firearm? Can all the parts be purchased and you only have to wait for the stamp to put it together, or does a Class III dealer have to 'hold' part of it until the stamp goes through?

Thanks for any insights and experiences!

moved to the NFA section.... best info is on the various stickies posted in this forum.

in MAKING a NFA item, you have to get approval (tax stamp) before making the item.

in BUYING an NFA item, you have to get approval (tax stamp) before taking posession of the item.

Sorry I didn't pick the best forum. I see there's a County forum, too. Thanks for the welcome and patience while I learn my way around.

The Chester County Sheriff's Office is NFA friendly. All you have to do is call Chief Moyer to make an appointment. They charged $10 for fingerprints and another $10 for photos when I was there.
