    Default Beretta PX4 reliability...

1,400 rounds through mine and not a single malfunction. Well one time with crap ammo (Ficcochi 170 grain fmj target ammo) the first round of every manually racked failed to go into full battery...it was about 1/2'' short of going into full battery. This was just an ammo problem, i will never use that ammo again, and also it kicked alot harder than wwb or hydrashocks like 3x as hard. so something was seriously wrong with that crap ammo...i should have never asked for the cheapest 50 round box at my local range(ran out of my 200 rounds of wwb and wanted to shoot a little more). I gotta say this is my only handgun as of now, but i know its a great one...18 rounds of .40 S&W on your side give you a little confidence.

Its a nice looking gun...however I returned mine in .40. I didnt shoot it particularly well compared to my 96 Brig. The BIG surprise was one of the factorymags BROKE with less than 100 rounds! I say it surprised me because I have thousands of rounds through factory and Mecgar/mds mags with zero problems. I tend to think that PX4 I had was jinxed or something ;-(

Mines been good to me exept the trigger sting...a little militech-1 grease on the rotating block/lug helped calm it down to the point i dident notice it after 300 rounds. With regular gun oil i feel the sting...but other than that love mine, its my workhorse....well because its all i have at the moment.
