    Default Blue rep?

WTF is that? I know green is good and red is bad, but today I got blue. The person who repped me didn't leave comments, so I have no idea if it was supposed to be good or bad, but blue? Is this one of the signs of the apocalypse?

Could it possibly be a blue/grey tone? If so it is from someone with no rep power yet and would be worth no points positive or negative.

Correct. A new member with zero rep power can leave rep, but it won't add or subtract from your total. It shows up as a neutral gray pip.

I got a bunch of those in the past. I still haven't figured out a polite way to say "Thanks for nothing".

Hey...that could have been me! At what point does someone have the "power" to leave meaningful rep?

I've given rep to others if I think it is warranted, even if only to say "well said."

If no one wants my "atta boy" I'll give them to someone else...haha.

By the way - thanks to those who have repped me in my short time here!

Once a person gets one rep point, he has enough power to give meaningful rep. I believe one automatically gets one rep point after 50 or 100 posts...

Anyhow, I enjoy positive blue rep as much as green rep... lets me know that the voices in my heads who tell me what to write, aren't entirely crazy.

I hope I didn't blunder another attempt at making a funny, but if this is in response to my post, please know that many times my sense of humor loses a lot in translation between my head and the keyboard, and has resulted in more than one PM asking me WTF my problem is.

In my book, any rep is meaningful, whether it's 0 or 100 "points" because it means I've posted something that at least one person thought was worthy of an honorable mention, but I don't harbor any more importance to it than that.

If you or anyone else was offended by my remark, I sincerely apologize.

I did check that first, but, thinking the block looked more blue than gray I did a text search for "blue" which came up negative, so I posted this. But I do see it now.
