Default Whos up for some stocksmithing? Birds eye and Spalted maple.

I went out to split some wood yesterday and found some spalted maple that I believe will reveal some birdseye also. I saved some Spalted Ash last year to make a gunstock out of but the spalting wasnt evenly distributed due to the size of the pieces. (small)

This time I recognized what I had and left it in huge chunks, about 12x9x18" which should give plenty to work with. Does anyone know someone who could make me a stock set for my AK out of this? I would be happy to pay or give some of this up in return for a stock set.

Heres pics, but keep in mind these are just how it was split, none of the fancy work you see in the ebay pics of wood blanks people are selling.

Find a buddy with a bandsaw, cube the wood, then cut it in slices half an inche wider that your AK buttstock... From there it's just a matter of tracing, cutting, planing, and sanding... I've done pistol grips for friends before the same way... Unfortunatly, my bandsaw access was denied after I lost my friendship with the guy because of his girlfriend... Hey, she was hot... lol
