LTCF in Fayette County
Greetings All,
Any idea on the turnaround time for a LTCF in Fayette county? Just curious....
Whilst I have your attention, are there any free ranges around Fayco?

Re: LTCF in Fayette County
Wish I could give you a decent answer, but I've only heard that it's relatively easy and quick... I'm sure someone else will have the answer for you in a bit.

Re: LTCF in Fayette County
it took me a couple days only because of the passport sized photos and not being able to get there after work in time before the courthouse closed. but once i got those things it was only a few minutes for them to do the pics and laminate the wallet sized card
there are a couple gameland ranges. 1 out by dunbar and 1 out in greene county close to kirby

Thanks for the info! I drive chalk hill road out to Mill Run every day, is that gameland range off of that Dunbar turn halfway between Chalk Hill and Ohiopyle? That would be really convenient!

Re: LTCF in Fayette County
i've never been there, but the directions that the GC gives is "Range is located 3 miles southwest of Dunbar along LR 26047 Dunbar-Ohiopyle Road."
says 4 firing points with a 100 yard range.

Re: LTCF in Fayette County
So did you apply for you LTCF?
The time you asked the question "How long it takes" you would have it by now.

Hiya bowkillpa,
Actually, I haven't as yet. There seems to be some "lag time", if you will. I called this past Thursday and they hadn't anything to report for me. I'm hoping/assuming I'll have it this week.
It's been depressing this month; between the weather, bad timing and a lack of options I haven't been able to try a pistol I bought a few weeks ago!

Good deal. I believe 2 weeks ago in the Herald Srandard it stated Fayette Co. went through 395 LTCF's for 2008.
