friends new springfield xd

I took my buddy to our local gun store/ shooting range and he purchased a new xd 9mm. When I asked if they had the xdm they told me it was illegal in this state. Anyway we took it back to the range and shot away. Very nice gun, although I like my H&K just a bit better. Anyone with this gun have any input either good or bad?
Oh by the way this shooting range is brand new state of the art unlimited range. Very impressive to say the least.

Yes. The XDm is illegal in this state since it has incredible mag capacities. I don't think they are making Communist mags yet....

you can't have hi-cap magazines in California or NJ AFAIK.

I see now that Moose must have been refering to the OP's home state of PRNJ where the XDm would be illegal. I must have misread and thought the implication was for PA.

The range is in Lakewood industrial park on Swathsmore ave. It's called Brick Armory. You'll love this place. You can shoot rifles, ar's, handguns and so on in this indoor range. And if you're ever in the shore area pm me and I'll take you to my home range Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club In Jackson, N.J. as a guest. Both less than 50 miles from you in Asbury Park. (well close enough)
