Actually, any gun can be made to have an external safety, for $10-15.

It's called a pocket holster.




Yeah, don't have any suggestions here. All of my carry guns have the big, scary, dangerous lack of an external safety . But if your friend would consider using a proper holster to carry, and thus would be open to carrying a gun with only internal safeties, I'd recommend the Walther PPS. Compact and thin, can be had in 9mm or .40 cal, very accurate, low-ish recoil even with the .40...

But we'll need more details.

Bill, why is the external safety a necessity?

Bob should shoot your G19 and my Kahr P9 covert.

As was suggested, a good holster goes a long way to being safe as does a tactical pistol class.

I won't have a carry gun with an external safety. I could, but choose not to.
