Default How Would You Change the LTCF Process?

The current process seems to vary wildly from county to county. I'm big on sovereignty of counties, but this is a state license. The process should be standardized. I'd like to see the ability to apply at any county...or at least neighboring counties.

I know my legislator (Dick Stevenson) really well, so I was thinking of having a chat with him

So, what would you do? What would you improve? What would you keep?

Eradicate it completely and let the Second Amendment MEAN what it says. Recognition of The Bill of Rights should be the only 'permit' required.

Try having the Sheriffs taught to read the law!!!!!!
It is very clear, the Form is a State form............

I'd like a faster process. For some counties, it's instant or 2 weeks. Here in Delaware County, it's like 6 weeks. I think 2 weeks is acceptable.

I'd like to see the LTCF recoginized and identified as state ID more so then now. I'd like to see legislation outlawing the use of RFIDs in LTCFs.... which I dont think of has been thought of yet.

If we're going to keep it, I would very much like to see the process, the forms, and the license, itself, standardized. Imagine if every county had its own driver's license procedures!

While I like the idea of keeping sheriffs in charge of their counties, this is a state license, and should not vary dramatically from county to county.

However, if we're going to open Pandora's box, we must be prepared for the situation to get much worse, instead of much better. If that's what we're facing, let's leave well-enough alone.

I'll beat up on my state rep and senator, if we can get the ball rolling. Beaver County is pretty lenient, to my knowledge, so we could use that as a model.
