Silencer

Here is a question.

If you legally purchase a silencer does it have to be for one gun only, or can you purchase one and move it to other guns that you own?

I am thinking about purchasing one for an AR but would only go through the hastle if i can thread it onto a 10/22 or something also and still be legal.

you can move it around if its a muzzle can, obviously an integral can cannot be moved around.

I have a few suppressors, and my 22 suppressor i use on everthing from a my 22pistols, to my 22 rifles, to my M16 with the 22 kit.

My AR silencer gets used on my ARs, my M16, and a bolt action 223 rifle.

my 45acp silencer gets used on pistols from 9mm to 45, and on 2 45acp rifles.

muzzle cans are the best choice for for best useability.

So basically if i purcahase one for an AR, one that screws on with 1/2x28 threads, i can legally move it to a 22 pistol or 10/22 without breaking any laws?

I see a place called "Bear Claw" or something like that in central PA that sells them, any other good places in central PA to get one?

Yes. The can is the NFA registered item, not the firearm(s).

hey jay, not to jack the thread or anything but i was unaware that a .45 suppressor would work for other calibers. how effective is it for 9mm and other calibers such as .40? thanks.

There may be other dealers nearby, this is just the subguns list of reputable dealers. I haven't dealt with anyone in your area personally, so I can't say.
