Finally... I got a Ruger LCP!

I say finally because I've been looking for this little guy for months. Every now and then I'd call/email nearby gun shops to ask if they have LCPs and the answer was always "nope". Today while being lazy on the couch I decided to try again. My second call was to Grice Gun Shop in Clearfield, and I had gotten so used to hearing "no" that I did a double-take when the salesperson said "sure, we've got several of them". I immediately got a shower and then hopped in the car. A little over an hour later I had my very own Ruger LCP. A nice bonus was the fact that all the LCPs they had were already sent back to Ruger for the recall. Not only do I not have to send it back myself, but I also get a second mag with the finger extension.

Can you get all of your fingers on the grip with that mag extension?

I have fairly large hands, so all I can fit is my trigger finger in the guard and two fingers below around the grip. It feels okay without the mag extension, but the extension makes it feel awesome. The extension sits right under my third finger and really helps to stabilize the little pistol.

I called Grice's back in mid December and was also surprised when they said they had a bunch and they were all already retrofitted. I went up that night at like 7pm and picked it up. Was interesting because everywhere else I had called said they were back ordered or had none available. It's definitely a nice little gun and I enjoy mine. Very easy to carry and conceal.

Yeah, Grice's must have had a whole bunch of them and sent them all back for the recall and recently got them back. They acted like it was no big deal like they're not in demand. Weird.

Hehe, talk about ironic. My sis' boyfriend bought a LCP from Grice's on saturday during our "i'm bored lets go gun shopping" trip...

Too bad he cant hit the broad side of the barn with it yet...
