New Legislative Session - HB 40
This is so new the text of the Bill isn't on the Gen'L Ass'y website yet. In fact it hasn't been assigned a printer's number or passed of to a committee. So I can't offer an opinion on it's effect on our rights. So be on the lookout for this! BUt, judging by some of the co-sponsor names it might be one we could support or consider neutral.

Re: New Legislative Session - HB 40
With "and further providing for sentences for offenses committed with firearms" added to it, it should help get it through this time. Having additional clauses providing for stiffer penalties for crimes helps get a pro-gun bill to pass in Pennsylvania. Just look at all of "gun" bills that did pass in the last 5 years, each had a clause to satisfy the anti's(which we'd want too).

Re: New Legislative Session - HB 40
If Daryl Metcalfe and Jeff Pyle is sponsoring this we need to get behind this bill to get it through.
I know kim Stofer has his hands in this too.
Everyone contact your Reps. to help this bill along.

Re: New Legislative Session - HB 40
PRO GUN forces are in action, Like Ed said time to get behind and move this early in this session.
Fast Eddie has no reason to sign pro gun bills at the end of his term so we need to work to get this passed this year, not late in 2010 session.
To date and to his credit Fast Eddie has signed every Pro gun bill that has made it to his desk, mostly because Politically he still had to work with reps but at the end of his term, that is not a concern.
