SCOTUS To Hear Case Of Strip Searched Student
Well the court HAS to blow these asshole school officials out of the water!
Redding was pulled from class by a male vice principal, Kerry Wilson, escorted to an office and confronted with the evidence. She denied the accusations.
A search of Redding's backpack found nothing. Then, although she had never had prior disciplinary problems, a strip-search was conducted with the help of a school nurse and Wilson's assistant, both females. According to court records, she was ordered to strip to her underwear and her bra was pulled out. Again, no drugs were found.
The court sides with the school on this one and I give up!

Okay... a Gun? maybe, a knife? possibly... but are you serious that they did this over an ibuprofen? Unreal. I hope she sues the shit out of the school and all parties involved are charged with sexual assault on a minor and listed as sex offenders for life. A school does not give the right to force a minor to strip in front of anyone and certainly does not give the right to touch her in any manner!
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

I said the same thing to Tootie not more than 10 minutes ago ... had it been my daughter they would have had a 'man with a gun' call in from the school the second I found out.
The principle, his assistant and nurse should be fired IMMEDIATELY and the entire school board that implemented this policy should all be thrown out never to be allowed to have anything to do with children.

Another thing, this is over a POLICY. I don't think there is a law against possession by a minor for Advil et al. (I could be wrong, but I don't think there is.)
I do not think a 13 or 14 y.o. can give consent in this instance. A parent should have been immediately summoned at the least.

Who gives a damn if it is or not. 400 Mg is NOT hard to get with using the over counter stuff. I think thats like either 2 or 4 pills? We aren't talking about heroin here! We are talking about a legal substance, and 400 Mg is a normal dose!
No excuse at all, none. It would be the exact same if it was a boy being asked to strip and having their underwear "moved" to ensure the pill wasn't in there.
If it is a "serious crime" The parents should have been called and been present to either allow or refuse. If I was the parents I would have called the police immediately and told them I'm going to be at the school in 10 minutes, the principle and 2 staff members just stripped my child to their underwear in the office for no reason... I suggest you get there before I do.The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Re: SCOTUS To Hear Case Of Strip Searched Student
My statement was about the infraction being a policy or not. I did not think any laws were allegedly broken to my knowledge.
I do not condone what they did, even if the object of the search was considered illegal.
Does this mean I have a right or power to strip search anyone on my property that becomes suspicious or is accused of a crime?
When did the school boards/districts etc. gain police powers?
Where is due process to protect the individual/accused?It is you. You have all the weapons that you need. Now fight. --Sucker Punch

I am so glad that I do not have children. If this where my child I would be dead now. But not alone.
