Somewhat more difficult question: with a LTCF one can CC or OC an SBR/SBS/AOW
Correct? Or am I missing something in the statute's definition of firearm?

I'de love to answer your questions but with so many abbreviations used in todays world, I truly have no idea what you are talking about.

SBR/SBS - CC with LTCF, yes.
SBR/SBS - No LTCF necessary for OC (except in Philly or in car).
I believe you are also required to have your NFA/Class III documentation with the applicable device, regardless of carry method.

Re: Somewhat more difficult question: with a LTCF one can CC or OC an SBR/SBS/AOW
Sorry, I have a limit in the title:
SBR: Short Barrelled Rifle
SBS: Short Barrelled Shotgun
AOW: Any Other Weapon
LTCF: License To Carry Firearm
OC: Open Carry
CC: Concealed Carry
edit gnbrotz thanks

Re: Somewhat more difficult question: with a LTCF one can CC or OC an SBR/SBS/AOW
Thank you, understand.
Short barreled rifle? Carrying it concealed, in winter, trench coat, sure, have at it, same with a Short barreled shotgun. I promise you it will get cumbersome and tiring. Not a lawyer or expert in law for this question.
Open Carrying an MP-5? Well, I suppose you can do it but ahh, don't be surprized if folks get a little upset and 29 different swat teams show up.
Same applies to a shotgun.
Politically, it would only stand to hurt the cause. Initial news of the incident and arrest is all people will see.

Not actually planning on carrying it around, just in a vehicle.

Re: Somewhat more difficult question: with a LTCF one can CC or OC an SBR/SBS/AOW
NO such legal requirement.
however, it's a good idea, since all NFA is illegal in PA, unless properly registered under the NFA of 34.
Having a copy of your paperwork with you when posessing your NFA is an affirmative defense against prosecution for illegal
all that being said, its pretty unwise to regularly carry NFA items, either openly, or concealed manner...if not for any other reason than the cost of said items."Oderint Dum Metuant" - BMFH

I would have a copy of the tax stamp and, other than the $200 stamp cost, it is no more valuable than anything else.
