    This is beyond horrible. If they wouldn't send some adrenaline-thug-junkies to kill my dogs, I'd stop paying taxes right away.

    So let me get this straight... I bought a little Civic because it gives me good gas milage.. now they are gonna take money from my paycheck, to give to these idiots who bought the big SUVs???

    WTF!!!

    so let me get this straight...

    I can trade in my 02 Dodge Dakota (18 MPG) and get trade in value from the dealer + 4,500 from the gov't to put towards a new truck that gets 25% more MPG then other trucks in the class?

    Pretty sure the new Silverado Hybrid gets about 22 - 23 mpg, average is 15 - 16 mpg for a full size truck.

    From what I read you only get the money from the government and then it can only be applied to the purchase of another vehicle so I'm pretty sure the 'double dipping' isn't allowed ... you won't get any trade in because you won't be giving the car to a dealer.

    i remember paying a gas guzzler tax on my f350 back in 2000 i think it was 1000 or more. maybe big bro will reimburse me
