    Default Change.gov : Citizen's Briefing Book

I got this message today from Obama's mailing list:

    Dear _______,

We wanted to tell you about a new feature on Change.gov which lets you bring your ideas directly to the President.

It's called the Citizen's Briefing Book, and it's an online forum where you can share your ideas, and rate or offer comments on the ideas of others.

The best-rated ones will rise to the top, and after the Inauguration, we'll print them out and gather them into a binder like the ones the President receives every day from experts and advisors. If you participate, your idea could be included in the Citizen's Briefing Book to be delivered to President Obama.
    The URL is: http://citizensbriefingbook.change.gov/

It might come as a surprise, but the average view on gun-control issues over there is actually mildly pro-RKBA. Of course, the sample is entirely unscientific because of the self-selection problem, et cetera, but I still thought it was interesting to note. One of the top-rated comments even mentions the right to bear arms in a positive light:

It's funny how they lump actual constitutional rights in with other "rights", I guess they assume the general populace is too ignorant to notice.

... you mean "the right to a decent haircut" really isn't the 33rd amendment?

We should hit this. This is Obama's sandbox - lets show him how the people feel. Make them accountable for likely disregarding the same opinions that they solicited. Whether you like him or not, he is going to be the president and like us or not, we are going to be part of his constituency.

Use this search for "gun" ideas: http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...&search=Submit or this for "firearms":
    http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...&search=Submit

    Some Examples:

    The good:
    Civilian Marksman Corps http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...87800000004xyk

Responsible Ownership and Use of Firearms http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...Pos=3&srKp=087

Give me liberty or give me death! http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...os=10&srKp=087

    Gun Control http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...Pos=0&srKp=087

Get off the backs of gun-owners http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...Pos=2&srKp=087

Truly "common sense" gun control http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...Pos=6&srKp=087

    etc.

    The Bad:

    Close the Gunshow Loophole http://citizensbriefingbook.change.g...Pos=3&srKp=087

Hitting it is one thing but when they start moderating things, look out. They have the ban-hammer. They can easily delete things that don't match their views.

I can't comment on moderating the comments, but the voting on the ideas was mostly (National Open Carry didn't fair well) very favorable to RKBA/2A.

Just imagine if the entire membership of just PAFOA voted everything pro RKBA.
