Default How Much to Rebarrel a 686?

I have a S&W 686 w/ a round butt frame & a 2 1/2 barrel. I am thinking about selling it or ahving it rebarreled. Reason is I also have a S&W 66 w/ a round butt & a 3" frame that I like alot better for cc. Anyway, would I be money ahead selling the 686 & getting one w/ a 4" or 6" barrel or just getting mine rebarreled?

Best bet is to simply call S&W.

SHorter barrels bring a premium, You could most likely trade your 686 for a longer barrel 686 and get the other guy pay shipping for both!
Look into Smith and Wesson forum,, Good guys over there.
